Nebraska's Glamping Escape Opens Summer 2026 

• Ferncrest Elkhorn River nightly rates change based on season, demand, and the type of accommodation you choose. This allows us to keep some nights more accessible while reflecting busier travel periods, such as weekends and holidays.
• At Elkhorn River, guests stay in modern dome accommodations, some designed for couples and others for larger groups. Some domes have private hot tubs, while others focus on a simpler stay centered on the landscape and quiet of the Nebraska tallgrass prairie region.
• Typical nightly range: ~$200 – $400+ per night
• Lower rates are usually available on weeknights or during quieter travel periods, while higher rates are typically on weekends or for domes with private hot tubs and larger guest capacities.

Every stay at Ferncrest Elkhorn River includes a private dome accommodation set within the open landscape of Northeastern Nebraska. Inside, guests will find comfortable beds with 100% cotton linens, electricity, heating and cooling, and a thoughtfully designed interior space meant to make the outdoors feel comfortable and relaxed.

Outside your dome, each site includes outdoor seating and a fire pit, and some domes include private hot tubs. Guests also have access to our modern bathhouse (shared but outfitted with private full & 1/2 bathrooms) and wellness amenities, including a communal sauna and cold plunge, as well as space to slow down and enjoy the surrounding property.

• Yes! Guests are welcome to bring up to two dogs per site for a $40 per night fee.
• Dog owners must follow our dog policy below:
  • Dogs must not exceed 80 lbs.
  • Please bring a dog mat, bed, or small crate for your dog’s comfort inside the accommodation.
  • Owners must clean up after their dogs at all times.
  • Dogs must be kept on a leash when in community areas or around other guests.
  • No aggressive dogs are allowed.
  • Dogs that are anxious, uncomfortable with new environments, or bark excessively (especially at night or when left alone) are not permitted.
  • Dogs are not allowed inside the Camp Store or Bathhouse
  • Dogs may not be left unattended at any time.

Linens and towels are provided.

Shampoo, conditioner, body soap and hand soap are all provided.

• Here is our best recommendations for essentials:
  • Bathing Suit for hot tub (if included in your tent) or sauna use
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Flashlight
  • Cookware + Cooking Utensils
  • Hiking/Walking Shoes – A pair you’re ok with getting wet or muddy.
  • Extra Pair of Shoes – A pair to change into if your other shoes get wet or muddy.
  • Clothing Layers – Remember, you’re camping having extra clothes for varying climate is useful.
  • Please keep valuables at home.
  • Note: Linens and Toiletries – Ferncrest provides all linens, blankets, pillows, and towels. There is shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel in the showers. If you would like to use a hairdryer while on-site, please bring one. We do not have any hairdryers on-site. All of our bathrooms have convenient outlets to plug into.

Unfortunately no campers, RVs or personal tents are allowed on site.

Yes, we do have Wi-Fi but some spots have stronger signals than others. Our internet will be strong enough for some light browsing but not recommended for downloads or streaming.

Unfortunately there is no self-service laundry available on site. Based on the Ferncrest location, there may be laundromats in a nearby town.

We do not offer daily housekeeping service. Additional blankets, towels, or anything else you might need is available upon request. Kindly keep in mind we are an invisible service campground so any requests will need to be made in advance.

Due to local county regulations, all firewood must be native to the area. All firewood for campfires, hot tubs and indoor fireplaces must be purchased on site from our Camp Store. Any outside wood found on site will be subject to fines.

All our lodging comes with a cooler, and ice can be bought at our Camp Store (or brought with you). Dome Tents include a mini refrigerator.
